Then She Was Gone

A woman begins dating a man who has a little girl that looks suspiciously like her own daughter that went missing ten years ago.
This book is full of suspense that will keep you turning the pages. I especially liked the Then/Now perspectives the author uses along with her pacing.

The Searcher (Cal Hooper #1)

A retired detective moves to rural Ireland where he plans are to fix up the cottage he's bought, walk the mountains, and put his old police instincts to rest. Until a local boy asks him for help. His brother is missing, and no one in the village seems to care. Something is wrong in this community, and he must find out what, even if it brings trouble to his own door.
I love this author, and I love books set in Ireland. The Searcher has the perfect amount of suspense and drama. There is a sequel I have yet to read, but I have high hopes for anything Tana French. If you can get your hands on it, I recommend the audiobook which is available through Libby. The narration is superior.

Whiskey in a Teacup

Whiskey in a Teacup

Fantastic recipes, fun and heartfelt stories of Reese's life growing up and living in the South.

The Lager Queen of Minnesota

Adult

The Lager Queen of Minnesota

One of two sisters is left their father's entire inheritance which she uses to build one of the most successful breweries. The other is left wondering what might have been along with a granddaughter seeking her own success and a possible reunification of her family.
This author knows the Midwest and is great at portraying complicated family dynamics and all the emotions that go along with them. I'd also recommend Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club, also by this author.
